FOR PRACTICAL USE

What budget transparency changes for all parties.

Budget transparency is one of the most common conflict points in buyer management. Buyers make selections without knowing the current budget status — and end up surprised by the final statement. In oneLynk, the budget status is always visible to the buyer: base budget, approved changes, pending requests, and the current balance. Every approval updates the status automatically. For buyer management, there is an overview of all units — at a glance, it is clear which units exceed the budget and where there is still room. This reduces discussions, prevents goodwill claims, and builds trust on both sides.

«Since we started using oneLynk, there are no more budget discussions at handover. Buyers know their status at all times.»

Frequently asked questions

About Budget Transparency in Residential Construction

What does the budget dashboard show the buyer specifically?
The buyer sees the base budget, all approved changes with amounts, open requests (shown separately) and the current balance — i.e. the additional or reduced amount compared to the base budget. The view is limited to their own residential unit.
When is the budget status updated?
The budget status is updated automatically after every approval. Requests not yet approved are shown separately and only flow into the balance after approval — so the buyer always has a realistic picture.
Can buyer management adjust the budget status manually?
Yes. Buyer management has full editing rights on the budget table. Buyers have read-only access — they can see the status but cannot change it.
Can buyers see the budgets of other residential units?
No. Each buyer sees only the budget of their own residential unit. Other units, other buyers and overall project budgets are not visible.
